Amman — Representatives of the private sector and ministry employees participated in a project training program, minister of tourism Nayef Fayez said on Wednesday while speaking during the workshop organised by the World Tourism Organization (WTO) on the Center Stage Project.
The project, financed by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, a.k.a. UN Women, is progressing in cooperation with the WTO.
“Jordan was amongst the first nations to participate in this project, which witnessed marked participation and achieved its goals,” Fayez explained.
He added that the project’s launching coincided with the Social Inclusion Plan and the National Tourism Strategy last year, which was planned while considering the challenges women face in the tourism sector.
