Triangle Guitar Society to host Tariq Harb Online Concert

Durham — The Triangle Guitar Society, a non-profit arts organization, announced the date of an online concert by Jordanian guitarist Tariq Harb. The date is set for Saturday, February 12, 2022. Tickets are available on a link posted on Harb’s official page on Facebook.

Harb won several major international competitions and ascertained himself as one of the leading classical guitarists of his generation, portrayed as masterful, flawless, and refined with performances in prestigious halls all over the world.

Harb, a faculty member of Concordia University’s Music Department since the fall of 2015, has six solo albums, two educational DVDs on Sor and Carcassi, and two publications, one proposing a method to adapt music for the instrument. His edition of Carcassi’s 25 Etudes op. 60. He is also a composer and has written several works for solo guitar. Tariq currently holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Toronto, a Masters in Performance degree from McGill University, and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Concordia University.
