Strategic Partnership with Microsoft

Amman — Tech giants Microsoft announced a strategic partnership with the General Network-IoT (GNIoT) to expedite Jordan’s digital transformation goal utilizing “IoT technologies.”

In Microsoft statement, GNIoT was recently awarded the class communications license by the Jordanian Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, allowing it to provide services to both public and the government.

Maher Al-Khayyaf, the regional business director at Microsoft, explained that GNIoT shall install IoT networks at Princess Sumaya University for Technology in Amman to provide access to IoT technologies to be added to a specialization course in Internet of Things Communications Engineering.

Al- Khayyat added that the Hashemite University shall provide practical training openings in partner institutions for the university’s engineering students, revealing that the employment precedence shall be for the university’s graduates whenever program partners have suitable job opportunities.
