Amman — The kingdom earned a place on CNN’s Dream Destinations list of the 22 best destinations to visit in 2022, with Jordan being the only Arab nation on the yearly list.
The list noted the amazing carved-in stone city of Petra that despite the aftermath of the pandemic, “visitors will surely return to this gem.” Pointing up that there are opportunities to explore Jordan more sustainably, the authors said other archaeological treasures, like the ruins of Jerash and Umm Qais, deserve to be seen.
The list also anointed tourists to pay for a trip for a salty float in the Dead Sea. The list also emphasized the enormous spectrum of the Wadi Rum desert, which it said: “best enjoyed with Bedouin guides who can share their knowledge of working in harmony with the epic landscape.”
In addition to Jordan, the list included Antigua and Barbuda; Bissagos Islands, Guinea-Bissau; Cape Breton, Nova Scotia; Chile; Colombo; Dijon, France; Disko Bay, Greenland; Gabon National Parks; Lahti, Finland; Australia’s Munga-Thirri-Simpson Desert; Naples, Italy; Ollantaytambo, Peru; Orkney Island, the United Kingdom; Oslo Beach, South Africa; St Eustatius, the Netherlands; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Valencia, Spain; and the US’ Yellowstone National Park.
